As a person who played the games religiously， it was a treat to see a book that wasn't a one for one retread of its story。 This book instead takes certain plot points from the numerous side-quests and greatly expands on them using the strong characterization and chemistry of the Phantom Thieves。 All while being painted in a visual style that's parallel（and deserving） to the game itself。 Although the story does jump around quite a bit， as it is portraying the player's duty of attending to several As a person who played the games religiously， it was a treat to see a book that wasn't a one for one retread of its story。 This book instead takes certain plot points from the numerous side-quests and greatly expands on them using the strong characterization and chemistry of the Phantom Thieves。 All while being painted in a visual style that's parallel（and deserving） to the game itself。 Although the story does jump around quite a bit， as it is portraying the player's duty of attending to several tasks at once， it never forgets the heart of what the Phantom Thieves are motivated by， and that is to save the innocent from the corrupt figures of society。 Not to mention， this is my favorite incarnation of the main character to date， displaying his dorky and eccentric traits and adding that to the facade he puts on in the real world， which hides the soul of a rebel， brave and and defiant to authority。 I highly recommend it for any fans of the game that want a fresh take on this colorful world。 。。。more
